Viasat commisioned SquareZero to make a further six promos
for their new Plus3 brand's on air campaign. The spots
are based around the channel's caretaker - an unlucky
and lonely robot called T6. The new channel used the same
Robot caretaker from the TV6 channel brand campaign with
some new updated story-lines.
Shown here are some examples from both the earlier
TV6 and the new Plus3 idents.
Because of the short turn around we used our team
of Maya animators to rig and animate the robot, rendering
in Mental Ray to create the dramatic basement lighting
of the robot's home.
There were many VFX involved, from sparks to running
water and explosions. Compositing and final grade was
achieved using Apple's Shake.
