Effects work on three Mazda virals for Maverick Media.
Three takes on movie genres were recreated - Jaws, Kung
Fu and Zombies. From a blue screen shoot we created
the environments around the action.
Various angles of the scene were made combining 2d
and 3d elements. The model shark was composited into
the scene with water effects, a CG sea, fin, pier and
buoy. Seperate takes were combined to re-animate the
car from the live action footage. The village was entirely
made from photographs. The car and ninja footage were
combined in Shake along with some 3d components such
as the samurai sword.
SquareZero also created the 2d animated 12 Second Thriller
logos for each viral.
